This is the final version.

I've been reading Orwell's classic Nineteen Eighty-Four again, because it's one of my absolute favourite novels. I especially like the interrogation scene in Room 101, when O'Brien manipulates Winston to think and believe that two plus two equals five, because whatever the party says is reality, hence it's the truth:
"Oceania has never been at war with Eurasia. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia."

Now the poster has got some stains and dirt on it and the paper is weathered and bleached. I've added the slogans of the party "War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength" and changed the shaking hands once more. Now I think it's perfect.

To learn what this is all about, see: link

It's a vector poster. I used these stock photos and scans as textures:
1. The texture I used to give the poster a slight vintage look: link
2. A paper texture: link
3. The shaking hands (because I was too lazy too create some myself): link

Great - but the black hand on the logo is meant to be a hand in a glove, to symbolise industrial workers!

A glove through which you can see fingernails? I don't think so.

Now you should read Animal Farm by the same author.
If you haven't done that already that is. :D

Love that novel too. Every utopian/dystopian book I can get my hands on.

Since he's one of my favourite authors, I have read all books by G. Orwell. Oddly enough, I like Down and out in Paris and London and Homage to Catalonia even more than I like Animal Farm. That's robably because they are based on experiences. If you like Nineteen Eighty-Four, I recommend you to read Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler. It's the book that inspired Orwell to write Nineteen Eighty-Four in the first place and in my opinion it's equally good.
